Investment in health sector is discussed

WAYS to step up investment in the health sector was under the spotlight as National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) chief executive Dr Mariam Al Jalahma held talks with top officials in Egypt.
She was in Cairo to attend the second African Medical Exhibition and Conference, ‘Africa Health’, which was held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdulf Fattah Al Sisi
Dr Jalahma met Egyptian Medicines Authority chairman Dr Tamer Essam and discussed ways of cooperation in developing trade exchange and encouraging health investment.
They reviewed the two nations’ experiences in control over medical preparations and efforts to further improve the quality of health care.
Dr Al Jalahma also met the chief executive officers and representatives of five companies specialised in the manufacture of medical supplies, especially those related to the field of laboratories, who expressed their desire to invest in Bahrain. It was agreed that the CEOs and representatives would visit the Kingdom next October.
