Inspections stepped up

INSPECTIONS of salons, barber shops and beauty parlours in Bahrain continued yesterday to ensure the establishments adhered to measures in place to limit the spread of Covid-19.

The checks were carried out in collaboration between the ministries of Health and Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

The GDN reported on Friday that inspectors had conducted 4,200 visits to salons and barber shops to ensure safety and sanitation measures are upheld after being closed for more than two months as part of intensified precautionary measures.

New measures included restricting certain services, receiving customers only by appointment, carrying out disinfection procedures after every customer and maintaining a safe distance.
