Innovative banking services ‘crucial to sector’
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has stressed the importance of innovative banking services in promoting the competitiveness of the kingdom’s banking and finance sector.
He pointed to the sector’s contributions to the kingdom’s wider development goals, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
This came as HRH Prince Salman yesterday received the regional president for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa of Visa, Andrew Torre, at Gudaibiya Palace.
He highlighted the opportunities the kingdom’s banking and finance sector presented to Bahraini citizens, emphasising the important role creativity and innovation play in boosting the sector’s efficiency and development.
Mr Torre expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet HRH Prince Salman, and noted his commitment to bolstering the kingdom’s banking and finance sector.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Central Bank of Bahrain Governor Rasheed Al Maraj also attended the meeting.
