Industry Minister participates in business discussion session
Manama, Oct. 26 (BNA): Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed Rashid Alzayani participated in Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Award discussion session, as a keynote speaker in the panel discussion (Industry and Commerce: Prospects and Aspirations).
Board of Trustees of the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Award Chairman Khalid Mohammed Kanoo was present.
The first session hosted a selection of officials, researchers, and academics, and aims to support efforts in spreading the culture of scientific dialogue and enrichment of topical discussions.
The minister praised this initiative to enrich the economic and cultural arena in Bahrain, and the role of the board of trustees in supporting the economic industry in all scientific and cultural aspects and supporting economic sciences professionally at local and regional levels.
The chairman stressed the most prominent scientific and economic topics and present them in a professional scientific manner by stakeholders and specialists to raise awareness.
He affirmed keenness to support initiatives and events that contribute to the progress of science and economics, both in the GCC and Arab region.
The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award comes within Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Trading Group's interest in supporting projects of public service, contributing effectively to religious, cultural, and humanitarian projects.
The award supports science advancement and encourages intellectuals and scientists from Bahrain and Arab countries in the fields of Islamic studies, finance, economics and business, and various fields of science and literature.
