Industry Minister confirms securing Ramadan goods and intensifying regulatory campaigns

Manama, Apr. 13 (BNA): Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani said that the ministry has intensified its efforts to secure the supply of appropriate quantities of various commodities for Ramadhan, in parallel with the intensification of monitoring campaigns to ensure the continuity of work with preventive measures.

 

The minister stressed that the local market enjoys a great abundance of goods with wide variety with usual prices, pointing out that people shouldn’t rush for goods, but they should be cautious in taking measure to protect their health and for the safety of everyone when shopping.

 

He stressed the importance of everyone’s commitment, whether shopkeepers or visitors, to follow the precautionary measures announced in advance to limit the spread of COVID-19.

 

Regarding shops and restaurants, Al Zayani stressed the need for these stores to implement plans and measures that ensure a safe environment for their visitors through adhering the stipulated precautionary measures, calling on all shops and restaurants to prevent what may cause any crowding, noting that the ministry, through the Inspection Department, will tighten supervision during the holy month, and that any abuse or negligence in the procedures will lead to taking appropriate action immediately.
