HRH Prince Abdul Mateen visits EDB
Manama, June 11 (BNA): Within the framework of the current official visit of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam to Bahrain, His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen ibni Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, today visited the headquarters of the Economic Development Board (EDB) at Bahrain Bay.
HRH Prince Abdul Mateen was welcomed upon arrival by the Minister of Finance and national Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, in the presence of ministers and officials from the two countries.
The minister welcomed HRH Prince Abdul Mateen, stressing the importance of the outcomes of the official talks held between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam in broadening areas of cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries at all levels, highlighting the steady progress of relations between the two countries at all levels.
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa affirmed the keenness of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to continue bolstering bilateral ties at all levels.
He underlined the two countries' joint keenness to strengthen the existing relations between them, in a way that opens broader horizons for expanding the scope of cooperation in all fields, especially trade, economy and investment, which requires diligent and continuous work to make optimum benefit from what the two countries' investment-attracting elements that would enable their businessmen and private sector institutions to explore new promising opportunities.
The delegation of Brunei watched a presentation highlighting Bahrain's promising investment opportunities, in addition to EDB's services for investors and efforts to diversify the economy.
The presentation also shed light on EDB's efforts to boost investments between Bahrain and global markets, contributing to attracting direct investments to the kingdom that have created quality job opportunities for the national workforce.
