Hope Ventures raises BD1.5 million

MANAMA: Hope Ventures, the investment arm of Hope Fund, has raised BD1.5 million in capital from 30 private sector investors.

The funds raised will go towards investment in promising Bahraini businesses with the aim of accelerating their growth and expansion to international markets.

The round comes in line with Hope’s mission to engage the private sector and strategically co-invest alongside its investors in Bahraini businesses to catalyse their growth.

Hope Ventures’ 30 investors comprise of experienced business leaders and industry experts who will contribute to the mission of enabling local businesses to scale regionally and internationally.

Commenting, Youth and Sports Minister and Hope Fund chairman Aymen Almoayyed said: “It is part of Hope’s mission to facilitate opportunities for the youth and their promising businesses.

The private sector plays a pivotal role in the success of this mission, as it provides the capital, mentorship, and wide network that Bahraini businesses require to succeed.”
