HH Highness Shaikh Nasser Center for AI Research and Development wins award
Manama, May 16 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser Center for Research and Development in Artificial Intelligence won the award for the best project for artificial intelligence and Internet of Things applications, during the activities of the sixth edition of the Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2023.
The event is being held at the Gulf Hotel Convention Centre, with the participation of government and private agencies, in addition to experts from the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of technology, sustainability and smart cities.
Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak honored the winners of the summit awards for their valuable projects related to the establishment of smart cities that are characterized by sustainability and smart solutions.
He presented the award for the Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things Project - Government Sector to HH Shaikh Nasser Center for Research and Development in Artificial Intelligence for the project of the artificial intelligence control panel to manage energy use in the ASRY company.
HH Shaikh Nasser Centre Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi expressed his appreciation for this honor, which reflects the strategic direction of the center and its distinguished staff in activating artificial intelligence applications with various partners in the government and private sectors and nurturing AI culture.
Dr. Jassim Haji, Chairman of the Global Group for Artificial Intelligence and Executive Advisor to HH Shaikh Nasser Center for Research and Development in Artificial Intelligence stressed the importance of the summit, the first specialized conference in the region, hailing its role in motivating he staff and instilling creativity and innovation.
