Gulf Air starts direct flights to Saudi Arabia

MANAMA: National carrier Gulf Air has announced the resumption of its direct flights to and from Saudi Arabia.

The service started with Jeddah yesterday and the airline said plans would soon be announced of further expansion to different destinations within the neighbouring kingdom.

“Gulf Air has been operating a strong network of direct flights between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in the last decades and the airline’s original network in Saudi Arabia significantly feeds into the airline’s global network,” the airline said in a statement.

With the addition of Jeddah, the airline now operates to almost 40 per cent of its original network since Covid-19 restrictions were eased, with flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Cairo, Amman, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Athens, Manila, Dhaka and several destinations in India and Pakistan.
