Graduates’ training milestone for KPMG
MANAMA: A new batch of Bahraini graduates supported by KPMG’s Jassim Fakhro Fund have entered the marketplace as qualified chartered accountants.
This milestone highlights the progress of the firm’s flagship development initiative, designed to nurture and support the professional and personal growth of young Bahraini talent.
Established in 2001 to honour Jassim Fakhro, co-founder of KPMG in Bahrain, the Jassim Fakhro Fund today has an alumni database of more than 160 Bahraini professionals.
It provides financial support, along with coaching and mentoring from more experienced colleagues to help talented youth to pursue and complete any professional qualification of their choice.
KPMG in Bahrain has committed an ongoing investment of $1.8 million to the fund.
The firm’s managing partner Jamal Fakhro commented, “We are very pleased with the impact we have achieved through the Jassim Fakhro Fund programme, and are proud of our graduates’ progress whether they choose to stay with the firm or decide to grow their careers elsewhere in the future.”
