GPIC summer activities for children end

SUMMER programme activities organised by the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) for its employees’ children concluded at the company’s premises in Sitra.

The programme involved workshops and field visits aimed at building the participants’ personalities and boosting their self-confidence.

Activities included landscaping, plant cultivation and learning about the impact of agriculture on the environment.

Workshops titled ‘The Seven Habits of Happy Kids’ and ‘The Seven Habits of Healthy Teenagers’, based on the bestselling book by Stephen Covey, were also held.

GPIC chief executive Yasser Alabbasi praised the efforts of those in charge of the programme, including members of the Social Activities and Club Committee and the GPIC Labour Union.

He also expressed his appreciation to the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry for their co-operation.

The programme comes as part of the company’s social responsibility framework, which aims to introduce initiatives that are beneficial to employees and their families.
