Government’s achievements to multiply under HRH Crown Prince’s leadership, says BCCI Chairman
Manama, Nov. 18 (BNA): Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sameer Abdulla Nass, has stressed that achieving further development, progress and prosperity for Bahrain and its people depends on the continuity of communication, coordination and cooperation among all governmental and non-governmental entities.
It also depends on commitment to the goals of the comprehensive development spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, he said.
Nass indicated that the issuance of a Royal Order appointing His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, as Prime Minister, ensures the sustainability of the kingdom’s pioneering development and the continuity of action and achievements during HM the King’s prosperous era.
He added that the Royal Order confirms HRH the Crown Prince’s clear and enlightened vision on government action, citing HRH Prince Salman’s competent leadership of Team Bahrain and effective chairmanship of the Government Executive Committee.
Such qualities have resulted in implementing multiple mega development projects and launching numerous initiatives that established a new vision for government action based on serving the citizens, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances created by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, he added.
The BCCI chief pointed out that the coming period requires defining the roles and setting the expectations from economic development, including ambitious future economic goals, in order to ensure further progress and prosperity for Bahrain and its people.
Nass asserted that the national visions enshrined in HM the King’s reforms necessitate increasing communication channels among the relevant government entities and civil society institutions as well enhancing cooperation and coordination between them to achieve the aspirations of the citizens, and strengthen the national economy’s ability to adapt to the local and external challenges and developments.
The BCCI Chairman said that HRH the Crown Prince’s appointment as Prime Minister affirms the importance of developing the performance of government agencies and improving their outputs, which will lead to upgrading national action and supporting government decisions.
He affirmed that the royal move will boost national action and empower Bahrain to continue building its civil, legal and democratic systems in a way that ensures greater expertise in the administrative, economic and development fields.
He pointed out that the government, under the leadership of the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, had made major strides in the fields of development and modernisation and that achievements will be doubled under the leadership of HRH the Crown Prince thanks to his forward-looking vision.
Nass said he is looking forward to stimulating the economic growth and developing partnership, especially given the fact that BCCI considers HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister as the best supporter and a leader of the partnership with the private sector.
This is reflected in HRH the Crown Prince’s qualitative projects and initiatives that serve as the compass for Bahrain’s economic policies, and aim to enhance the private sector’s competitiveness and productivity, in accordance with a national programme based on HM the King’s directives, the Government Action Plan and the Economic Vision for Bahrain 2030, he said.
The BCCI Chairman highlighted the great role played by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in promoting the Kingdom’s status as a country that attracts investments, embraces excellence and stimulates pioneering projects.
He asserted that economic reform, with its enlightened deep long-term outlook, has opened up unprecedented opportunities for the Kingdom, providing the national economy with pioneering visions and projects that boosted development.
All this has reflected positively on the performance of various government sectors, Nass added.
