GFH donates $1m for coronavirus fight

MANAMA: GFH Financial Group (GFH) is making a donation of $1 million to the Feena Khair campaign, a national donation programme launched by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) to fight the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) in the kingdom.

The programme is an online platform through which donations can now be made by the general public and business community. It was introduced as part of the national Covid-19 mitigation efforts.

Commenting, GFH Capital chairman Shaikh Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said, “GFH has closely been monitoring this unprecedented situation and working together with local and regional authorities to do what we can to safeguard the health and interests of our employees, clients and the communities where we are active. We’d like to extend our deep appreciation and gratitude to the government and leadership of Bahrain for their exceptionally well thought out efforts and response to this crisis and the success of their efforts in keeping the kingdom safe.”
