GFH backs Bahrain Bourse’s Smart Investor programme

MANAMA: GFH Financial Group (GFH) has become a silver category sponsor for Bahrain Bourse’s (BHB) Smart Investor programme in its second edition for the 2019-2020 academic year.

At an event held to formally announce the sponsorship, GFH chief administrative officer Salah Sharif called on BHB chief operating officer Narjes Jamal, with other officials from both organisations also in attendance.

Organised in collaboration with Injaz Bahrain, the programme aims to promote financial and investment literacy among school students in Bahrain.

It consists of seven themed sessions designed to train students in: Thinking, Specifying, Planning, Execution, Saving, Progression, and Evaluation.

During the 2018-2019 academic year, the programme was implemented across 76 schools covering 213 classes, and with support extended from educators and volunteers it reached more than 6,291 students.

A Smart Investor summer event is planned on Friday and Saturday at the West Wing of Seef Mall in Seef District, which includes a series of edutainment activities designed to help children gain practical financial knowledge.
