France: The car market now seen rising from 3% to 4% in 2017

PARIS, July 3 (Reuters) - The French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) on Monday raised its forecast for the car market in 2017 after June figures reflecting "good performance" of car sales.

The CCFA estimates that new car registrations could grow this year from 3% to 4%, while it has so far expected annual growth of up to 2%.

Last month, new car registrations rose 1.6% on a gross basis compared with the same month of 2016. Over six months, growth now stands at 3%, compared to + 2.3% in cumulative terms over the first five months of the year.
