Forum to focus on combating desertification

A PANEL discussion has been organised on Saturday on the occasion of World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought.

‘Our Planet and its Environmental Changes’ will feature keynote speakers Dalal Al Alaiwat and Dr Fatima Al Aali who will shed light on a number of contemporary environmental issues.

They will discuss global influences and changes, in addition to the influences related to individuals and groups.

The discussion will also explore the important role of education and awareness in achieving a safer environment, more stable health conditions and a more sustainable climate.

Organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, the event will be held at the Bahrain National Museum, starting 7pm onwards.
