Focus on GCC labour market opportunities

LABOUR Minister Jameel Humaidan met with Dr Amer bin Mohammed Al Hajeri, director general of the Executive Bureau of the GCC Labour and Social Affairs Councils, and reviewed topics on the agenda of the ninth Committee of GCC Labour Ministers meeting, which will be held in Bahrain later this year.

They also discussed ways to develop programmes in the work and human resources fields.

Mr Humaidan stressed the importance of enhancing GCC action, praising the Executive Bureau’s role in implementing programmes that support GCC efforts.

He highlighted the importance of exchanging successful experiences in the GCC labour markets, especially in the field of employment and rehabilitation of citizens and the creation of opportunities in various sectors.

Dr Al Hajeri praised the support from Bahrain for the Executive Bureau and noted that it reflects the kingdom’s keenness on boosting joint GCC action.
