EU-Bahrain conference now an annual event

The EU-Bahrain conference will now be an annual conference and the next one will take place in the Kingdom in March 2023, Founder and Chairman of “This is Bahrain” and First Deputy Chairman of King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence Betsy Mathieson has said.
“There are four very solid and concrete outcomes from this three-day conference today,” Mathieson said as she announced the four recommendations at the end of the three-day first EU-Bahrain Conference: Freedom of Religion and Belief.
“The first EU-Bahrain Conference: Freedom of Religion and Belief is now officially an annual conference on the EU-Bahrain. The next conference will take place here in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is now to be considered as your second home in March 2023.”
“Secondly, we are forming an EU-Bahrain Joint Working Group on Freedom of Religion and Belief. We will meet four times a year, twice a year in the Kingdom of Bahrain and twice a year in Brussels,” she said.
“And in contact with members will be team leaders, at Enhanced EU-GCC Political Dialogue, Cooperation and Outreach Project, Marie Jo and myself to form the participants of this working group.”
“Thirdly and very importantly, as we all know, especially our young people are our future. So, with that thought in mind, we are setting up a joint EU-Bahrain Fund to target youth projects between Bahrain and the EU countries.
The fourth recommendation came forward from many participants, she added.
