Electricity Minister: Bahrain capable of overcoming pandemic in near future

Manama, Oct. 10 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, has expressed pride in participating in the phase III COVID-19 vaccine trials, in which the number of volunteers have reached 7,700 in a short period of time.


He said that the massive participation in the vaccine trials proves the high awareness of Bahraini citizens, as well as their deep patriotic feelings and keenness to engage in voluntary and humanitarian work in all fields.


In a statement to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the minister affirmed that his participation in phase III COVID-19 vaccine trials aims to contribute to the efforts being exerted by Team Bahrain, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).\


He stressed that with the dedicated efforts of Bahrainis, the kingdom will overcome the COVID-19 pandemic in the near future, noting that reaching the 7,700 target of volunteers is a milestone.
