Egypt needs $20bln to meet sustainable development goals by 2030

Egypt needs to inject $20 billion in investments to achieve sustainable development goals by 2030, Al Borsa News cited Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El Saeed.

El Saeed said that Egypt has merged the United Nations’ sustainable development goals for 2030 and the African Union’s agenda for 2063 with Egypt’s Vision 2030 in all sectors.

She further noted that 15% of the ongoing projects conform with the obligations of the environment and sustainability, and Egypt target doubling green projects by 2022.
