eGovernment Excellence Award Orgnising Committee to hold virtual workshops
Manama, Aug. 13 (BNA): The Organising Committee of the 2023 eGovernment Excellence Award 2023 will hold a virtual discussion session to familiarise participants with the application process, where ministries, public entities, private organisations, civil societies, and individuals can attend on August 15-16.
Held under the patronage of Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communications (MCICT), the award is considered an important initiative aimed at promoting excellence and innovation in Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
The initiative has had a significant impact on the ICT sphere, encouraging digital projects from previous editions to compete against in regional and global technology platforms and helping Bahrain secure major accolades and bolster its international standing.
The virtual workshop will review the registration process and criteria, noting the improvements introduced this year that includes merging the public and private sectors to promote quality, and introduce new categories in the award.
Private and public sector participants will compete in categories such as Best Website, Best Practice in eParticipation, Best Integrated eServices, Best Application for Smart Devices, Best Work Environment for Digital Innovation, Best Utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Best Project for Digital Transformation.

The Arabic session will be held on the August 15, and the English session will be held on August 16.
