Education Minister approves development projects at private schools
Manama, Aug. 8 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, the Minister of Education, has approved a set of development and expansion projects at a number of private educational institutions, following their success in meeting all educational, legal and administrative requirements.
The minister endorsed the following projects:
- Licensing the “Sacred Heart School Bahrain” to add the secondary stage to the Isa Town branch to include the 11th and 12th grades.
- Licensing the “New Horizon School” to add the intermediate stage to include the 7th, 8th and 9th grades.
- Licensing “Quest School” to add the intermediate stage to include the 7th, 8th and 9th grades.
- Licensing “Beacon Private School” to add the nursery stage for children aged between 18 months and three years.
- Licensing “American School of Bahrain” to add the nursery stage for children aged two years and above.
Dr. Juma affirmed that the Education Ministry, as a regulatory body for education policies in the private sector, will continue to develop and support this sector, as well as expand the educational services it provides, whether in early or school education.
He indicated that the competent sector at the Ministry of Education will continue to study all requests received from the private sector to provide educational services and take the necessary decisions on them quickly, in accordance with approved service level agreements.
