E-commerce challenges to be probed

MANAMA: The Bahrain eCommerce Conference 2020 will be held on Tuesday at the Gulf Hotel’s Gulf Convention Centre.

It will be held under the patronage of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed Alzayani, in co-operation with ThinkSmart for development and training.

This year’s slogan is “Build Your Online Business”.

The event will host an elite group of e-commerce experts from Bahrain and the regional countries to discuss the latest developments in e-commerce and it’s challenges that the world is facing today.

A keynote speech by Magali Laubarie Charles, a digital expert with 15 years of experience in the e-commerce and marketing field, will highlight how e-commerce leads to more revenues.

The event will also celebrate the achievements of the Bahrain eCommerce Academy, which was launched in November 2018, and it will be presented by Ahmed Al Hujairy, the CEO of ThinkSmart.

The event will also feature panel discussions between Bahrain’s leading e-commerce experts and workshops which will be conducted by David Fuller and Christina Loannaidis from Aquitude on developing effective e-commerce strategies across all channels and digital marketing to drive sales.

The conference is also hosting an exhibition that includes companies and related commercial institutions to display the most prominent e-projects, solutions and technical consultations
