Dubai's CPI down 3.4% in June

UAE - Mubasher: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Dubai declined by 3.44%in June, compared to 3.49% in May, amid a decrease in the price of five goods groups, according to the latest statistics by the Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC).

The prices of the housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels group contracted by 5.54% in June, which led to a 2.29-point decrease in inflation, while the prices of the transport group plunged by 13.39%.

Meanwhile, the prices of the recreation and culture, clothing and footwear, and communication sectors dropped by 11.63%, 6.44%, and 0.10%, respectively.

On the other hand, the prices of the food and beverages, education, and tobacco groups increased by 3.49%, 1.87%, and 15.96% each.

At the same time, the prices of the miscellaneous goods and services and furnishings, household equipment, and routine household maintenance groups went up by 0.50% and 0.25%.
