DOUBLE BONANZA: Bahraini doctor wins $1 million and $5,000 salary for next five years

A BAHRAINI doctor was yesterday named the winner of $1 million from National Bank of Bahrain’s Al Watani prize.

Dr Amira Radhi, who also won $5,000 monthly salary for the next five years, was presented with the grand prize during a ceremony held yesterday at NBB’s new flagship branch at Seef Mall Manama.

Present at the ceremony were NBB retail banking head Subah Al Zayani and other officials.

“I thank NBB for this wonderful surprise,” said Dr Radhi.

“I have been dealing with the bank for a long time, but I did not expect the news because the arrangements agreed upon were far away from the theme of the award.

“I do not have any plan for the amount received at the moment but part of it will be for personal use and part of it for the service of society.”

Mr Al Zayani, meanwhile, said in a statement that he was “delighted to offer this exceptional and life changing prize” and to celebrate this occasion with Dr Radhi and her family.

“This year’s grand prize has been newly introduced in 2019 as part of Al Watani Saving Scheme to continue rewarding our customers for their loyalty and trust in NBB,” he added.
