Diyar Al Muharraq junction is ready

MANAMA: Work on the main entrance junction for the Diyar Al Muharraq master-planned island city is complete, the developer announced yesterday.

The project included removal of the temporary entrance roundabout and replacing it with traffic lights, in line with a comprehensive traffic study, to create greater connectivity and improve traffic flow, particularly with the network leading to the city’s most prominent destinations.

The construction of the junction commenced last December and was supervised by the Eastern Asphalt and Mixed Concrete Company (EAMCO).

The plan was implemented in five phases over the course of nine months, during which traffic regulations were ensured and operations were executed at an accelerated pace leading to its timely completion.

The development of the junction was aimed at facilitating the flow of traffic and movement of vehicles entering the city, making it easier for visitors to reach key destinations including Diyar Al Muharraq’s sales office, Marrassi Galleria, Vida Beach Resort, Address Beach Resort, Souq Al Baraha, as well as upcoming projects.

Ahmed Alammadi, chief executive of Diyar Al Muharraq, said: “Through the launch of the junction, we hope to facilitate life, which in turn will help contribute to attracting more visitors and increase demand for investments and housing within this modern and integrated city.”
