Digital technology’s growth discussed

MANAMA: Developments in eGovernment, online education, digital healthcare and e-commerce were discussed yesterday at a major conference.

The Virtual Bahrain online conference and exhibition was held under the patronage of Information and eGovernment Authority chief executive Mohammed Al Qaed.

Yesterday’s sesssion was themed ‘The New Normal Initiative: Bringing Sectors Together for the Next Plan through Technology’.

Today’s session will feature panels deliberating about cybersecurity, digital banking and online news.

“The pandemic has placed a renewed focus on the importance of ecosystem-driven innovation,” Mr Al Qaed said.

Eight specialised sessions, featuring 42 speakers from the public and private speakers, will highlight recent achievements by the kingdom. Over 50 companies from various sectors are also part of the virtual exhibitors at the conference.
