Digital forum spotlight on Covid-19 fight

A DIGITAL conference on how artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies can be used to combat Covid-19 will be held next week.

It will look at how the pandemic has forced companies worldwide to rewrite standards, especially when it comes to AI and machine-learning technologies as they have played a significant role in the response to Covid-19.

It is being held under the patronage of Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) president Dr Abdulhussain Mirza and organised by UAE-based CIO World Forum.

The conference, which will take place on Sunday, will also see the launch of a book by Bahrain-based AI expert and president of the Artificial Intelligence Society Dr Jassim Haji.

The event will distribute an electronic version of the book and will also host some of the well-known Bahraini speakers in the fields of administration, media and judiciary to discuss the impacts of artificial intelligence and digital transformation amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

The Global CIO Forum, which operates in 30 countries with a network of more than 15,000 C-level CEOs, aims to make this event a benchmark in combating Covid-19.
