Danat highlights job chances in pearl industry at Career Fair
The Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (Danat), has participated with several public and private institutions in the Career Fair organised by the American University of Bahrain (AUBH), providing students the opportunity to engage with the institute team members.
Danat introduced students to the various job opportunities and vocational training programmes, emphasising the importance of active participation, and encouraging students to take part in such courses, workshops, and programmes related to the pearl industry.
Danat experts delivered compelling presentations that underscored the diverse career paths within the industry, highlighting global recognition as a specialised centre for examining pearls and gemstones to attract talented individuals to enter the labour market. They also highlighted Danat’s goal to enhance the competitiveness of pearls and gemstones in Bahrain.
Danat chief executive Noora Jamsheer affirmed the institution’s interest in the next generation of the Bahraini youth by participating in the Career Fair event.
“We are eager to engage with young individuals, introducing them to the diverse fields of work in pearls, while highlighting the cultural and historical significance of natural pearls for our kingdom, reflecting Bahrain’s rich ancient heritage,” she said.
Ms Jamsheer highlighted the importance of investing in the energy of young people as a pivotal component of the national plan for the revival of Bahrain’s pearl sector. The goal is to solidify the kingdom’s position as a global leader in the extraction, trade, and examination of natural pearls.
She emphasised Danat’s commitment to realising its ambitious objectives, which include developing young national talents and attaining excellence and creativity in the field of pearls and gemstones in Bahrain.
Ms Jamsheer affirmed Danat’s commitment to achieving prosperity and progress for the pearl and gemstone sector in Bahrain.
She highlighted that Danat’s vision extends to refining the knowledge and expertise of young individuals in this field, aiming to equip them to actively contribute to Bahrain’s comprehensive development process.
