Crown Prince hailed for handling of Covid crisis
Manama: His Majesty King Hamad praised the Crown Prince for his successful leadership of Team Bahrain in the fight against the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19).
He commended the efficient pre-emptive measures which have succeeded in curbing the spread of the pandemic and hailed the devotion of the medical taskforce in protecting citizens and residents’ safety and health.
This came as he received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, who congratulated His Majesty on the advent of Ramadan, wishing him health and happiness and Bahrain and the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns.
He thanked the Crown Prince for his good feelings, wishing Bahrain and its people and the Arab and Islamic nations further progress and prosperity.
Also present at the meeting in Safriya Palace were the King’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Rashid Club Equestrian and Horseracing High Authority vice-president Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Shaikh Sultan bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The King received, in the presence of the Crown Prince, National Guard President General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Rashid Club Equestrian and Horseracing High Authority president Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa and Royal Court Affairs Minister Shaikh Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa and exchanged with them Ramadan greetings.
The King also received Parliament speaker Fouzia Zainal and Shura Council chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh.
He expressed confidence that Bahrain would overcome the Covid-19 crisis, thanks to its people’s awareness and solidarity.
He commended all citizens and residents for their commitment to the precautionary measures to combat the pandemic.
He commended the role of the legislative authority and competent agencies and sectors in supporting national efforts to combat Covid-19 and backing precautionary measures to face the challenge.
He praised co-operation between the executive and legislative branches to achieve citizens’ aspirations and further development and prosperity.
