Covid-19 indicators show ‘positive reflection’

Covid-19 indicators have shown a positive reflection in the last two weeks in Bahrain.

This was revealed by Supreme Council of Health public hospital autonomy project manager Lieutenant Colonel Dr Ahmed Al Ansari during a press conference held today.

He said that the number of cases has not doubled in the last 24 days, which reflects the commitment of citizens and residents to the precautionary measures.

He also said that in the last two weeks, the ratio of existing cases versus recovering cases ranged between 0.6 to 1.4 new case for each recovering case with an average of 1.2.

Meanwhile, SMC infectious and internal diseases consultant Dr Jameela Al Salman said the number of Covid-19 tests will be increased in the coming days.

She said so far over 600,000 tests have been conducted, which is among the highest in the world.
