Covid-19 facilities 'increased to provide efficient treatment'

The capacities of Covid-19 facilities have been increased to provide efficient treatment as part of the national efforts, an official said today.

Isolation and treatment facilities have 7,187 beds of which 4,884 are occupied, said Health Ministry Under-Secretary Dr Waleed Al Manea.

In quarantine, there are 3,410 beds of which 599 are occupied.

Treatment is free in public facilities, while optional paid services are available in the private sector.
