Citizens’ role in growth praised

BAHRAIN’S development efforts have succeeded thanks to the dedicated efforts of its citizens, says His Majesty King Hamad.

He also commended the tireless efforts of Team Bahrain to enhance national development and support the national economy to build a bright and prosperous future.

His Majesty was meeting His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.

The King underlined tremendous efforts that HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister continues to exert to serve the kingdom and enhance its progress.

The government, under his leadership, is developing its work system by launching initiatives aimed at improving the quality of state services delivered to the citizens and residents to increase good governance and support strategies that serve the comprehensive development process, he said.

The King wished UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan success in carrying out his duties to continue his country’s development, following in the steps of the late founder, Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The King recalled the virtues and achievements of the late Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his role in advancing his country, as well as serving the Arab and Islamic nations.

The King reviewed with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister a number of local issues and topics, especially those pertaining to development projects.

He toured the Prime Minister’s Office, and was briefed about what has been achieved so far within the Government Priority Framework, overseen by the office.

His Majesty commended efforts being made by the Prime Minister’s Office, affirming that the efforts of Bahrainis in all sectors are a source of pride.

His Majesty later addressed a letter of thanks to HRH Prince Salman.

In the letter, he praised young Bahraini personnel working at the Prime Minister’s Office, expressing delight at meeting them and describing them as the nice and bright face of Team Bahrain.

He pointed to the high quality and excellence which mark the government’s work.
