Citizens focus of growth plans says His Majesty

Manama: Bahrain will continue to adopt development plans to attain more national achievements and meet the aspirations of its citizens, says His Majesty King Hamad.

He was speaking during a meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, at Safriya Palace yesterday.

Present were His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, National Security Adviser and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.

The King reviewed a number of issues aimed at enhancing the nation’s progress.

He expressed appreciation for HRH Prince Salman’s efforts to serve the kingdom and consolidate its progress.

He also underlined the Crown Prince Prime Minister’s endeavours to improve the performance of government departments.

The King said the launch of a national vaccination campaign and its results so far – thanks to a high turnout of the citizens and residents – reflect their awareness and co-operation to ensure the success of Bahrain’s fight against Covid-19.

His Majesty expressed pride at efforts by the national team to combat the pandemic.

The King also said he valued the patriotic stances of the legislative branch and the civil society regarding the rights of Bahraini fishermen.
