BTEA promotes Bahraini tourism in Global Travel Week Middle East 2022

 The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BETA) represented by Deputy Chief Executive Officer Fatima Al Sairafi participated in the "Global Travel Week Middle East 2022".

 

Al Sairafi said that BTEA's participation aims to enhance collaboration opportunities within the travel sector and increase partnerships with potential decision-makers in the travel industry.

 

It also seeks to connect to potential tour operators from several sectors of the travel industry to know more about Bahrain and feature the destination for their clients.

 

During her participation, Al Sairafi showcased the tourism projects in Bahrain, such as Qalali coast waterfront and Bahrain Bay beach project and the new exhibition center in Sakhir, along with the distinctive private tourism sector facilities such as Al Dana Amphitheater,  Marassi and others.

 

She met with attendees from various sectors like “luxury travel”, MICE, FIT (Free Independent Travelers), Weddings, and more. In addition to potential travel agencies and tour operators to start and continue offering Bahrain as a preferred tourist destination.

 

"Bahrain is seeking to enhance its position on the map of regional and international tourism, and we are keen that the tourist coming to the Arabian Gulf region places the Kingdom at the forefront of his visit program. Within the context of our goal of promoting diverse categories of tourism, the authority seeks to attract more prominent tourism agencies and organizations from specialized target markets, as well as organizers of international events, conferences, and workshops.” Al Sairafi said.

 

She explained that Bahrain also welcomes more private investments in the tourism sector to explore the potential of this sector, and concluded: “Participating in global events comes within BTEA's goals to achieve the objectives of the tourism strategy of Bahrain for the years 2022-2026, including highlighting Bahrain's position as a global tourism center, increasing the number of targeted countries to attract more tourists, and diversifying the tourism offerings.”
