Benefit tie-up for causeway insurance

Benefit, the operator of the national electronic fund transfer system (EFTS), has announced a partnership with United Insurance Company to streamline the payment of insurance premiums for customers travelling along the King Fahd Causeway between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Customers can now purchase insurance policies through the United Insurance Company’s integration with the Fawateer payment service on the BenefitPay app.

Furthermore, the partnership is going to enable United Insurance Company to provide the same service across all banks’ mobile and online banking channels.

Abdulwahed AlJanahi, chief executive at Benefit, said: “We are thrilled for this partnership with United Insurance Company to bring the causeway insurance service to BenefitPay. This initiative is a significant step towards enhancing availability of electronic payments and reducing paper money in line with national trends, while enhancing the King Fahd Causeway crossing experience through leveraging Fawateer’s service integrated in BenefitPay.”
