BDF Hospital launches mobile isolation rooms

MOBILE isolation rooms have been installed at the BDF Hospital, the latest move in Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to tackle the spread of Covid-19.

The rooms, equipped with the latest modern technology, are being used to isolate suspected cases before arrival at the hospital.

This was announced by National Task Force for Combating Coronavirus monitoring committee head Lieutenant Colonel Dr Manaf Al Qahtani during a Press conference yesterday.

“The BDF Hospital continues to take all precautionary and preventive measures to reduce the spread of the virus,” he said.

“The mobile isolation rooms equipped with the latest modern technologies aim to isolate those suspected of contracting the virus before arriving at the hospital.

“These rooms have a large space and have a number of isolated sections.

“They are small-sized mobile isolation units that are equipped with negative pressure filtration device, which is used to isolate and transfer existing cases without exposing others in the hospital to the virus.

“This also helps us save our medics from getting infected.”

He also urged the public not to underestimate the current situation and explained the importance of abiding by precautionary measures.
