BCCI Chairman highlights benefits of Golden License
Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): The Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Sameer Abdullah Nass welcomed the launch of the Golden License, announced by the Cabinet.
The Golden license provides incentives and streamlined services to local and foreign companies. The license is given to companies that create more than 500 job opportunities for citizens, or those whose investment value exceeds USD50 million in the first years of operating in the kingdom.
Nass said the move is in line with the kingdom's efforts in creating a business friendly environment for companies and investors, in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
He added that the Golden License will contribute to making Bahrain more attractive for foreign investments and capital.
Simultaneously, it contributes to labour market stability through creating job opportunities for citizens, boosting economic growth and overall development, he said.
Nass added that the Golden License will support initiatives to empower the private sector to implement mega development projects in Bahrain.
Nass affirmed BCCI's support for all initiatives serving the growth of the national economy.
He said the dynamic partnership between the public and private sectors, was driven by the belief of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in the role of the private sector as a strategic partner in achieving sustainable development.
