Bapco project continues without lost time injury

MANAMA: Work on the Bapco Modernisation Programme (BMP) has continued without ceasing for even a single day despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the company’s board has heard.

A statement issued after a meeting of the board said members toured the BMP site and appreciated the significant progress that has been made on the project to date.

The company has achieved more than 45 million manhours of work on the project without a lost time injury or a significant process event.

The chairman and chief executive Dr Dawood Nassif presided over the meeting which reviewed the company’s performance for the first four months of 2021 as well as the market outlook and operational plans for the coming months.

Key priorities such as safety, Covid-19 response, progress on the Bapco Modernisation Programme (BMP), human resource development and efficient management of finances and budgets were discussed.

The long-term strategic plans for the company’s progress were presented and discussed.

In addition, corporate governance and organisational issues were reviewed, and approvals granted.
