Bapco and Nasser Centre launch new projects
Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), a subsidiary of the Bapco Energies group, has launched two projects aimed at raising operational efficiency in various operations and upgrading employee capabilities.
The innovative schemes which were announced yesterday were developed in co-operation with the Nasser Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre.
The two sides have teamed up to develop an automated learning platform which allows employees to use artificial intelligence techniques.
They have also partnered to develop a vapour pressure prediction project (RVP), which is a system that uses artificial intelligence to predict vapour pressure in the company’s systems
The innovative projects have contributed to improving the efficiency of Bapco’s operations and reducing its costs, as well as helping to develop the capabilities of employees and providing them with the necessary skills to deal with these smart technologies.
A group of Bapco employees have also participated in the Renewable Energy and Advanced Technologies Conference in China, in co-operation with the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain.
National Vocational Training Centre chief executive Dr Abdulla Nasser Alnoaimi stressed the importance of co-operation with Bapco in developing AI techniques and solutions which contribute to achieving sustainable development goals and fostering employees’ AI skills.
Bapco chief executive Dr Abdulrahman Jawaheri stressed co-operation to develop national competences and hone skills to find AI innovative solutions that boost productivity.
