Banks urged to supply ATMs with new notes; provide Latex gloves for customers
Dubai: Banks operating in the UAE were directed to supply the dispensing automated teller machines (ATMs) with new banknotes of all denominations to ensure the safety of customers as they withdraw their salaries.
The UAE Central Bank issued these directives as part of nation-wide efforts to combat the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
The UAECB also directed banks to disinfect ATM dispensing machines and provide single-use latex protective gloves for customers withdrawing money.
