Bahrain's private sector keen to bolster cooperation with friendly countries

Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI),  Sameer Nass,  has affirmed the keenness of Bahrain's private sector to bolster its relations with its counterparts in friendly countries, including the Republic of Korea. 

 

This came as he received here recently the Korean Ambassador to Bahrain, Hae Kwan Chung.

 

Nass hailed the deep-rooted diplomatic tie and the vigorous commercial cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Korea. He also voiced pride in the cooperation between the Korean Embassy and BCCI in holding business functions aimed at reinforcing business relations and promoting partnerships, trade, and investment between both business communities.

 

He touched upon the economic situation in Bahrain in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the most affected sectors, and the future outlook. He also gave a brief about the measures taken by the government to mitigate the implications of the pandemic both on the citizens and business owners, and shed light on emerging investment opportunities in the healthcare sector, pharmaceutical, and Information Technology.

 

Ambassador Hae Kwan Chung expressed pride in the close diplomatic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Korea, praising the pivotal played by BCCO to empower the private sector in Bahrain and develop commercial opportunities with brotherly and friendly countries, calling on Bahraini business owners to venture in the Korean market and exploit lucrative partnership and investment opportunities. He also encouraged business owners and investors to approach the Dubai-based Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) for assistance with regard to the Korean market.

 

BCCI’s first vice-chairman, Khalid Najibi, vice-treasurer, Waleed Kanoo, Chief Executive Officer, Shaker Al Shater and Deputy CEO, Dr. Abdulla Al Sada, also attended the meeting.
