Bahrain’s imports decline 9pc to BD1.16bn

National origin exports amount to BD669 million, increasing by 15pc compared with BD584m for the same period last year.

Unwrought aluminium topped the list with BD146m, and Saudi Arabia ranked first among the countries that purchased Bahrain’s products worth BD137m.

The Information and eGovernment Authority issued its foreign trade report for Q3 2020, encompassing data on the balance of trade, imports exports (national origin) and re-exports.

The trade balance, which is the difference between exports and imports, recorded a deficit of BD355m in the three months, compared with BD494m in the same period last year, an improvement of 28pc.
