Bahrain's effective participation in COP27 praised

Sharm El-Sheikh, Nov. 14 (BNA): Director-Genral of the Environment Public Authority in Kuwait, Shaikh Abdulla Ahmed Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, today visited Bahrain's pavilion at the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), currently held here.

Shaikh Abdulla Al-Hamoud was briefed on the pavilion’s exhibits, as well as on the kingdom's efforts and achievements locally, regionally and internationally in the field of environmental protection and climate change, in addition to its programmes, activities and innovations that achieve sustainable development goals

He praised the depth of the two brotherly countries' relations and cooperation in various fields, especially the environmental and climate.

He was also informed about the kingdom's projects in the renewable and clean energy sector, as well as its awareness-raising initiatives aimed at enhancing social awareness of the issue of climate change.

He praised Bahrain's effective participation in COP27, expressing thanks and appreciation to all participants in the Kingdom's pavilion for their good organisation and outstanding presentation.
