Bahrain’s eagerness to contribute to global rebuilding of tourism stressed

Industry, Commerce, and Tourism Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani said that Saudi Arabia’s hosting for the first time the meetings of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) boosts tourism in the region, enhances its countries' participation in the global tourism industry, and contributes to the achievement of national tourism goals.

 

Al Zayani who was speaking during his participation in the opening of the 116th session of WTO’s Executive Board meetings, emphasized the forefront of the world in terms of tourism growth.

 

He pointed out that tourism progress has a great impact on the region, including the Kingdom in improving its presence on the world tourism map and achieving its desired goals in this significant sector.

 

 The minister, who was accompanied by BTEA CEO Dr. Nasser Qaedi, stressed Bahrain’s eagerness to actively contribute to the global rebuilding of the tourism sector following many challenges resulting from Covid-19.

 

He added that global cooperation accelerates the sector's recovery by leveraging shared experiences and implementing global efforts to ensure a brighter and more prosperous future.
