Bahrain’s Covid-19 fight highlighted at IMF forum

The Finance and National Economy Minister highlighted Bahrain’s resolve to deal with challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic in a way that achieves a balance between safeguarding public health and supporting the economy.

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa was addressing the International Monetary Fund’s annual virtual meeting, attended by finance ministers, central bank governors and heads of financial institutions in the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The minister highlighted measures put in place by the kingdom to limit the spread of the virus, protect individuals and companies and support most affected sectors.
