Bahraini-Saudi economic cooperation stressed

Manama, Apr. 13 (BNA): Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, lauded strong historical fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their perpetual growth in various fields. This came during the first meeting of the coordination committee in the economic, energy, trade and industry fields which was co-chaired by Saudi Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Economy and Planning, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jada’an, and Bahrain’s Minister of Finance and National Economy.

 

The coordination committee is one of the five committees emanating from the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council which is chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

 

The Minister of Finance and National Economy pointed out fruitful cooperation between the two brotherly countries thanks to the care and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He noted that the first meeting of the coordination committee in the economic, energy, trade and industry fields is in complementarity of the joint coordination efforts between both countries in the economic, commercial and investment fields.

 

The Minister of Finance and National Economy affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considered a major economic partner for the Kingdom of Bahrain thanks to deep-rooted relations between both countries. He pointed out joint economic and commercial projects which play a key role in supporting economic growth in both countries and achieving common goals and aspirations. He stressed the need to continue boosting bilateral economic partnership to achieve common visions and aspirations.

 

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the main initiatives and recommendations reached within the coordination committee and mechanisms of implementing them. They emphasised the need to multiply efforts to achieve the goals of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council and serve economic integration between the two brotherly countries.
