Bahrain ‘will continue to invest in youth’

MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, yesterday received the 22nd intake of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP).

He noted that Bahrain will continue to deliver on development initiatives that invest in youth and encourage their contributions to the kingdom’s development, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad.

He congratulated the recipients of the scholarship, before reminding them to take full advantage of the opportunity.

HRH Prince Salman concluded by expressing his appreciation for all who continue to support the CPISP in empowering adolescents in their transition from learning to creating an impact.

Crown Prince’s Court adviser for political and economic affairs and head of the CPISP financial and administrative committee Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, and members of the board of directors were in attendance.

The 10 recipients were selected from among 358 applicants following a comprehensive process that took into account their Grade Point Average, IELTS score, SAT score, leadership training, and a critical thinking course, organised by the CPISP as part of the candidates’ training.

The CPISP offers scholarship recipients the opportunity to choose their own fields of study at any university they gain acceptance to. The programme has awarded a total of 207 university scholarships since its establishment in 1999.
