Bahrain, UNDP youth cooperation stressed
Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): Youth Affairs Minister Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi received the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Firas Gharaibeh.
Tawfeeqi said that the ministry is keen to build a sustainable partnership with the UNDP to present initiatives that contribute to the empowerment of Bahraini and international youth.
She noted the importance of the partnership between the ministry and the UNDP that strengthens the role of Bahraini youth in exchanging youth experiences and knowledge in various leadership sectors.
The minister and the representative reviewed the results of the initiatives between the two sides and their effects on Bahraini and international youth.
They also discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation and present joint initiatives to enhance youth capabilities, empower them, and support their projects and innovations.
Gharaibeh praised the development and growth of the youth movement in the Kingdom, which gave Bahraini youth a great opportunity to participate in the development of various sectors in the nation and contribute to shaping the future.
He noted that the cooperation between the UNDP and the ministry has achieved outstanding results for the Bahraini and international youth.
