Bahrain-UAE SMEs, tourism cooperation discussed
Manama, Nov. 4 (BNA): Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, held a telephone call with the UAE Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Dr. Ahmad bin Abdulla Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi.
The two sides discussed topics pertaining to the entrepreneurship and SMEs sector, and tourism.
They also reviewed the main plans and programmes implemented by Bahrain and the UAE to support the two vital sectors, and increase their cooperation on them.
The minister highlighted the steps taken by the Government of Bahrain to develop the two sectors, which, he said, have become among the main pillars of economic development in the kingdom.
He also praised the major role played by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the GCC Secretariat-General to place the SMEs sector among the priorities of the joint GCC economic action.
